The University of Georgia Foundation Fellowship is one of the most prestigious undergraduate scholarship programs in the United States. The Fellowship was established in 1972 by trustees of the University of Georgia Foundation to enhance the educational experiences of academically outstanding undergraduate students. The Foundation Fellowship provides an annual stipend of approximately $9,000 for in-state students (in addition to the HOPE Scholarship) and $15,700 for out-of-state students (plus an out-of-state tuition waiver). The Fellowship also provides numerous opportunities for national and international travel-study, faculty-directed academic research, and academic conference participation.Additional benefits of the Fellowship include extensive academic enrichment opportunities such as seminars with distinguished University of Georgia professors and visiting scholars, advising and mentoring from senior faculty fellows, and membership to UGA's nationally-recognized Honors Program.
