Wollongong Excellence Scholarships – Malaysian Students

Scholarship applications are invited from Malaysian students, who wish to study at the University of Wollongong (UOW) in Australia, and who meet one of the two categories outlined in the following minimum application criteria:

1. Credit transfer students

• Completing a diploma or other undergraduate pathway program in Malaysia and receiving an offer of admission to a Bachelor degree program at UOW (Australian campuses only) with credit transfer of at least 1 year (48 credit points).
• Commencing their Bachelor degree at UOW in Autumn (February) 2012
• Achieved a minimum overall average of 65% (B+ grade average or equivalent) in their diploma or previous academic studies.

Applications from students completing a diploma or pathway program at an institution in Malaysia with which the University has a Credit Transfer arrangement are welcome to apply, however applications from students at other institutions may apply if meeting the above criteria.

2.  High School or Foundation Year Graduates

• Completing a secondary level (equivalent to Year 12, A-levels or IB) or Foundation Year program in Malaysia and receiving an offer of admission to a Bachelor degree program at UOW (Australian campuses only)
• A high standard of achievement in their qualification;
• Commencing their Bachelor degree at UOW in Autumn (February) 2012
• Scholarship applications will be considered from students applying for admission to UOW via the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) or direct to UOW
